big fan, but there were definitely a couple songs i really liked, from both soundgarden and audioslave
spoonman was my fucking jam
i've always loved the guy's voice, one of the best in the world of ~hard rock~ imo

That song is about resisting the negative influences around you and rising above, but lines like "nothing will do me in before I do myself" are just eerie listening to it now.

i'd never really cared for soundgarden but i ended up listening to the radio a lot today and on KEXP they did hours of tribute and interviews about him. very cool i definitely respect the guy and his music more than i did before today

i think that soundgarden is honestly pretty meh but the 90s were a great fucking decade for music and fuck anyone who says otherwise
now excuse me while i jam to jawbreaker
one memory i have of sound garden is when me and corey were driving through california and it was playing and man it was great. the scenery was beautiful we sang along to songs and it was a fun drive. those are one of those memories i'll keep for life.
