Title: Is there any reason that apple doesn't let you install OS X on other PCs?
Post by: Daddy on June 13, 2007, 06:31:36 PM
I don't see why not.    The only reason I can think of is that they want you to buy their computers as well as the OS.

Where did you get this information?

Have you heard about the x86 project?

Have you heard of money? Besides, most PC's don't have what it takes to run OS X flawlessly like on Macs' hardware.

Apple makes money on hardware, not software.

If they moved to a software model, expect OS X to shoot up in price.

o is dem keygenz wut i use to get fotoshop

I just wanted to know if Apple had a reason for not allowing us to install OS X on a PC besides just so they can sell hardware.   I guess not.

Yes, I knew about OSx86, yes I know how to download pirated software.  It's not that hard, it wasn't my question.

Maybe because they  don't want a whored out, STD infected OS like what Microsoft produces?
