hardmode: no sex
today was a nice night, i haven't had much of them because i usually end up dissolving my attention with alcohol and stupid company or envelop myself with personal thought whenever high
but instead, i hanged with a friend of mine that came down back to manhattan
and he showed me his backpack, a large zip-lock with several varieties of speed and a very large vial of marijuana
we were bored, after watching a NYU student slush himself across a very large fountain in washington square park, watching him meditate in its dead center where a ring of lights would burst columns of water upwards
hearing the neighboring gossip echo our personal opinions that we were too ashamed to admit; "what a fucking attention whore"
several blacks offered molly and some sour
we declined and decided to walk into several sex shops for fun
we've browsed bbw pornographic titles, slung dildos at one another, and tasted flavored condoms
we went inside questionable back-rooms, the ones where the entrance was hid behind a splotched wall of ancient VHS tapes
a fat negro stumbled out, his hair kinky and coiled into an unruly cone
we needed a place to roll a spliff
"what do...people do there?", my friend asked
"Suck dick, it's easy.
Go on, you'll get action. You cute."

We went to some bar up in Hell's Kitchen afterward, sipping on dry whiskey until we've grown bored. Went inside the taxi, they're always so nice when its doors flung open inviting you inside a sleek leather-lined interior. I stared outside, watching the lights flame away with Times Square fading in the distance.
Taxi rides at night feel like they slit through lightly-buzzed vibes that ebb and flow out of luminous cafes and ambient restaurants, they're fun when sit in there and watch it all smear into colorful strobes
We went into Fat Cat, a blue wooden isle leading into a very low-ceiling basement stuffed with smoke and jazz, the bar raw with utilitarian simplicity. No coasters, just smeared streaks of condensation and carelessness.
We sat in a corner besides a small Jazz group that was gated with velvety red carpeting and couching. We took out some speed, rolled and sipped our mojitos while speaking of the fine arts and music. I felt special, when I told him that art that aimed at trying to invoke invalidated its quality. It's cheap, it's kitsch.
He felt stunned, never seeing how sculptures sometimes held a subtle contradictory elegance by having its beauty effortlessly lift up its original real weight.
We did some speed, and went drifting down the Hudson river, watching Jersey City glitter across the river.
And we smoked some more, sitting on brownstone stoops, rolling spliffs and wandering in and out of cafes with fragmented conversations until 9 AM.

my standards for "nice night" are pretty low. if i was in a good mood and did things i like to do, then it was probably a pretty nice night.
suffice to say, most nights are nice.
Last week was pretty cook one day

Mia came over last night for dinner and we went out and saw Star Trek into Darkness then went back ti my apartment for cuddles and sleep since she is staying with her mom for a couple weeks.
It was a really nice night because it was a night where we actually got to do stuff together for one night without beeing called into work for the night

last night i explored 1880s sewers with some fab flowstone. i was with chris, the drainor from portland, dan the fabulously gay gay, and ashley, the exploring aunt. it was great because no one had been in there for at least 9 months and chris and i went ahead and explored the maze while dan and ashley smoked. the cobwebs were thick and heavy with sewage condensation and i ended up dripping in it. chris and i explored like were were on adderall but we werent-- checking every drift and wiggling up every hole. there's nothing like the bond thats formed between two people when alternating each side tunnel and taking a break, dripping in sewage sitting on big chuncks of shattered brick covered in rat shit. when our backs couldnt take it anymore we returned to dan and ashley and drank hard cider and ate salad. then chis went to light paint while the rest of us discussed penetration. then we went to a siphon room and had to leave because the water level was rising and we were sure a sewer worker would show up soon to open another flood gate.
last weekend i went camping with some of my buds and we got an ipa keg since it was my friends 21st. there were 10 of us. my bro ross and i started to drink at like 7am on saturday and we thought everyone was going to do that too but instead they ditched us to go climb (i should have done that lol) so instead we watched the keg all day and vaped in his truck and chilled with hillbillies until like 3am
counts as a night since it extended into the night but it was a nice break from reality

last monday i took some really awesome acid with my friend and we stayed up and when the sun rose we played with my kittens at a park by her house and i hallucinated a lot and smoked weed and a great band How I Quit Crack played and we didn't sleep and the next night i was with the same friends and on a bunk bed watching Attack on Titan but i was napping and she came up and cuddled w me it was just a really good night thing
my nights since then have been ok

Shelly’s a great friend I’ve had for years. She’s also a former co-worker and a kitchen specialist, if you like foods that set fire to your insides.
I went over to her apartment near the Park last night for Face Melting Chicken Biryani, margaritas and speed croquet. Back when the “old group” still had roots and branches in the area, we’d do that pretty often, get together at Shelly’s and soak the bottom half of our faces in a margarita glass to put out the ghost pepper fire. Yesterday it was just three of us. A lot of empty lawn chairs and two balls short (hahaha) of a full set for croquet.
We live in the same town but we don’t see as much of each other anymore, mostly because it feels like we’ve lost limbs along the way. It’s really easy to catch yourself mid-conversation waiting briefly for the usual chime that doesn’t come from the empty couch to your front and center.
But, it turned out great. It was all the catching up that we smoothed over and forgot about through emails and twenty minute phone calls. Late night/early morning/late morning night-caps with a greasy breakfast to follow with good bad stories in between. I just wish it could be a weekly thing.
