I will never, ever, ever run a fair race on Wario Stadium in Mario Kart 64. I will always jump the wall to gain an advantage.
Mass Effect 3 doesn't excite me as much as 2 either for some reason. But it's so far away it doesn't really matter at this point.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not girl;
I got to 147 once in red/blue, short only of one blue exclusive pokemon and two pre-evolutions of a starter. Then I had to go on a car trip to Michigan. I started a new game.
i could sit here and list "popular games" that i've never played but that wouldn't really all that big of a deal nor would it be a large list
other than that possibility i def can't think of any secrets, although i certainly have my quirks, like how i am very paranoid about saving and will often re-save or save very frequently

but it's important to me because I used to define my life by zelda
I haven't played very many older pre-GCN games outside of remakes, classic collections, and occasionally emulators. Before Gamecube, the only significant games I remember playing include:
Every Pokemon game
Super Mario World
Super Mario All-Stars (barely played it, so I still actually haven't completed SMB1 or 3)
Sonic 2
Super Smash Bros
Zelda OoT and MM (yet I never completed either until years later)
There are still many other classic games I haven't finished yet but should, yet I'm currently prioritizing newer games over them. Still not playing games enough to catch up.

Quite the opposite, I've not only caught every single Pokemon that currently exists but I simultaneously own all unevolved forms as well n_u
646 total, excluding three legendaries that have not yet been released outside cheats
The only game that I enjoy for more than 10 minutes is Super Smash Bros. Melee. There are a few exceptions but they usually last very briefly as well.
I think single player games are a waste of time
I don't enjoy gaming alone, unless you count practicing techs in Melee
I don't play the only game that I enjoy like a videogame anymore. I play it like a sport. When I play, I play to get better and hone in on my skills.
I just don't enjoy gaming anymore in general. The novelty wore off a long time ago and it took me until recently to realize it. I'm not a gamer anymore.
This would make my 16 y/o self cry probs
i don't have any video game secrets. i beat majora's mask and ocarina of time when i was little because if was OBSESSED i don't think that I caught all the Pokemon in Blue version ( i didn't have Red) but i played that game all the time and beat it and was happy with how I played it. I feel bad catching pokemon that I don't use.... They just sit in the PC instead of having their own Pokemon life. My 7 year old self wasn't cool with that. For a little bit I even tried foooling myself into believing that within the PC there was a wonderful place for pokemon to be. But NO i knew better
I play video games naked

I've gone through a lot of characters, but I've never gone more than a short while before going back to Marth (my latest Marth haitus lasted around a month while i tried to pick up Falcon, who I'm still working on). I guess at the moment my most played would be Marth, CF, and Doc. I think that I enjoy the Doc the most, but he's definitely the hardest to play out of the three and I'm best with Marth by far. Marth is fun, but I get sick when so many of my friends play Falco.
i don't really like multiplayer games at all
the mario galaxy games are terrible and there hasn't been a good mario since sunshine
the only zelda i've enjoyed since wind waker was minish cap
i played less than halfway through pokemon white because the grinding was fucking retarded compared to previous games. the pokemon don't have their first evolution until like level 50 and getting experience is harder than ever. also every single fucking move has status effects. not even the smt series has that many status effects
i now fully believe that nintendo is the worst influence on the industry and having them completely go under in a way more terrible than sega or atari would be good for the industry

lol what

maybe i'm retarded but it seemed like pokemon changed the experience system so that you get less exp as your level goes up
e.g. a level 20 enemy gives you 100 exp when you're at level 15, but gives 2 exp when you're at level 25
i know in sapphire and pearl that leveling up took less than half the time that white took
Quote from: Snowy on February 21, 2012, 05:35:32 PM
Isn't that how it's supposed to work? akudood;
I don't recall it ever working like that before. I remember a level 5 Pidgey giving like 5 EXP no matter what your level was.
Black and White took more grinding than SMT, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy combined, so I gave up.
Quote from: Snowy on February 21, 2012, 05:44:09 PM
No I'm not say that that's how it's always worked, I'm just saying; isn't that how leveling works? befuddlement Should you get less xp the higher your level is than theirs?
Depends on how it works.
If it's a game where it always takes 100 exp to reach the next level, then yes; if it takes 100 exp to reach level 10, 200 to reach level 11, 300 to reach level 13, etc, then no, because you have to beat an exponentially large number of enemies just to make the slightest bit of progress. akudood;
SMT balances this by giving you constant access to new enemies and the ability to fuse demons at any time, while Black and White introduced maybe 4 new Pokemon per area that wouldn't evolve until they reached level 50.
Yes, black and white did indeed make experience gain now depend on the level of the Pokemon gaining the experience, but unless you're grinding on enemies over like 15 levels below yours, the new exp equation actually gives you more experience than it did in previous games
Because I play through the story in Pokemon games with only using 2-3 battlers actively, I never have a problem with needing to grind until the post-story stuff; just facing the trainers I pass by, never intentionally killing wilds, is more than enough experience to complete the story with in any Pokemon game.

I've hardly touched the FPS genre at all. I own a couple games in it, like Metroid Prime and Half-Life 2, but haven't touched those games at all; my only experience playing the genre is probably from playing games owned by somebody else when I was in middle school.

I don't like PC gaming that much. Well, I like it, but not as much as everyone else seems to. I've never been one to drool over graphics or mods, so usually I end up playing all my games on consoles even though I have a pretty good gaming PC. I think it's the user base that turns me off for the most part. The PC elitists are such shitheads that I don't want to associate myself with them even in the slightest.
I'm still pretty big on PC gaming though. I just don't think it's as great as a lot of people make it out to be.

No, I bought all of them at MSRP+tax. It's almost $350 because 27*$12.99 minus a few dollars because the 3-packs cost less per figure.
If I can't obtain it from an actual store at its normal price, I won't buy it. Which is why I never got a Lucina or Robin. I still want to try to get them in a restock, maybe around when FE:Fates releases.
i sold baten kaitos and the credit helped me pay for tales of symphonia

if you're referring to baten kaitos origins, it's around $70-$200 on ebay lmao
>my brother bought it and i've had the privilege to play it and beat it
god what an underrated game for sure imo
nah, the original
wouldn't have cared either way tbh
you know, for a horror game, tlou isn't actually all that scary
but:

I simply couldn't activate the generator before going to Youtube and looking up what would happen next. (http://boyah.net/forums/Smileys/default/awdood.png)
yes, i am that much of a pathetic coward
and even then, i still hesitated and had to psych myself up before starting it
that was pretty much the only truly scary part of what was otherwise a pretty low-horror "horror" game[/spoiler]
