Have you ever seen those little squiggly things that are floating inside of your eyeballs? When you focus on something and start to drift into your own lenses there are these sudden flicks and liquid moving things, almost like a living cell, only magnified and projected into your vision. It makes me wonder what it actually is that I am seeing, swimming through a filter of light and the formed image. Sometimes the very substance of reality is called into question, because well, when my field of view looks like water right before it boils, I entertain all kinds of thoughts and possibilities.
i'm sure many of us have, they're called floaters
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floater
they're kind of neat, though despite the fact that they're apparently common i can't help but wonder if something's wrong with my eyes whenever i notice them
Yes, flokon of metal, how to shake around a little in the air is reflected?
I had one of those that looked like ebola and was moving in quarter inch jumps in a downwords diagonal motion. It was fun to watch.

You can't just throw that at me when I was deep in mystery. This phenomena has kept me happy on more than one occasion.
I also don't recognize that name, I was never consulted.
Whenever I'm dizzy or have a bad headache, my eyes "fog" up. It's a weird phenomenon.
Hey socks, have you ever had that weird visual thing where you see what looks like really bright light reflecting off of flakes of metal? That one is even better at being mysterious

If I stare at things and play around with my thoughts I can see and induce some pretty interesting sights--from material objects 'breathing', to others seemingly compressing or expanding in a sudden instant-- but this one I am not sure of. What's the duration, stimulation, etc... and are the eyes open, or not?

as hippo said it's actually a type of migraine. Eyes are open and it can last for seconds to minutes. It freaked me ouout the first time but now it's really intriguing. The only way to describe it is someone dropped tiny flecks of metal that all reflect light perfectly into your eyes

Sparkly lights without colors... Silver and black and white. Slight geometric patterns that change VERY slowly, yet aren't completely defined.
sounds like a more enchanting and biological version of snow interference.
mines reflect blue light
and it can be a mass pool of them (very faint--i'm guessing white blood cells swimming in your eyes?? you see them when you stare at the sky or at something insanely white [snow, white walls, jmv's skin)
or a blue, heavy wet sprite (i dunno--i think from fatigue but it happens once every 3 months)

that's the perfect description. I'm still surprised at how bright they can be. It's like staring into a flashlight or something. Migraines do a lot of weird things to one's senses. Like intense blurred vision but in like only a specific spot, other forms of hallucinations and everything.

i get something like this.
like i will be walking or something then all of a sudden my eyes go black for like 3 seconds.
it's kind of weird.
also i think there was a thread about this on Nsider way back when cause I think i learned about floaters from that.

you say better than me
Furthermore, not migraine, who surrendered to death.
Sometimes if I stand up or engage in some sort of immediate activity (often after waking), like stretching--the heartfelt kind--my sense of perception takes a tumble. I find myself fixed in the middle of a spinning room, planted but at risk because the whole world around me is wobbling slowly into a settled level. The feeling is difficult to explain, there is a sort of buzzing weakness that rushes through the body, and instantly fatigues all reasoning. An intense combination of being dizzy and drunk.
I usually don't get floaters terribly often, but there are some spots that I visit often (invariably outdoors) where I just get mad floaters that actually kind of interfere with my vision. But I'm fine everywhere else, and even at those spots it only happens at midday. It's goddamn voodoo
Could actually be this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_field_entoptic_phenomenon) though.
Phosphenes and things like them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphene) are cool too. n_n

My fourth grade class showed a documentary of someone who had this when they started puberty. They ended up killing themselves.
It's not the best thing to show kids on the cusp of puberty themselves.

i feel like everything i look at has like a layer of static over it, like it is tiny atoms about to disperse but i can see them. idk how to explain it.

Moreover, a variety of illnesses (e.g. Lyme disease, auto-immune disease) or noxious events (e.g.
prolonged use of a VDU(computer monitor, television, etc.), dehydration, over-acidification) have been blamed by sufferers in
self-help internet forums as causes of persisting visual snow, but none of these claims have been confirmed by scientific study

i know exactly what you mean, it seems a little fake doesn't it, like a glitch almost. when things should be crisp. after all, if things are so fuzzy, then what is certain after all!?

it is very unnatural feeling. it causes Emotional Turbulence. i do not know if this is because i have a weak mental constitution or this isn't how things are suppose to Be.

i don't have a weak constitution about what consists nor do i fear the unnatural, more like a fool than a brave man, but it nevertheless causes questions and raises doubts, casts shadows when there should be light, and i am let to wonder, to puzzle, over what it could have been, before my eyes deceive me again and i must fall silent, for who wants to listen to a lunatic, when all you see is right in front of you...
