What no, you're paying for the pop.
I'm not okay with it because it's dishonest. But I don't harp about it because illegal downloads and trespassing are dishonest as well, I just see dishonesty the effects ownership of physical objects as more important. I understand that some people disagree.
Well technically you're paying for the cup since soda is so cheap to make, but yeah, I don't like to lie to somebody's face like that just to get a wee sugar rush

Yes, the primary expense is the cup butthats not what you're paying for. The product you are purchasing is what you are paying for.

You're paying for the privilege, for the status.
You're paying for the ability to shock and awe women with your disposable income and unquenchable thirst.
You are superior because your cup is.
You are the American capitalist dream.
I wouldn't stop someone. But in that moment I would hate you. Because I am showing self restraint and you're not. And why make someone else feel this way? Our social contract is a very fragile thing, tend to it dearly. Pick you battles, but don't be selfish.

Then I stopped doing it and I asked for a water and the guy goes, you can just fill it with soda if you want. And I lol'd and said thanks but actually got water.
It doesn't bother me when people do this.... why would that bother me..... it is soda............. also my friends should be able to steal soda if they want without me getting mad at/annoyed with them
