how does david know everything about geography and various languages
how are many of you so technologically proficient
how do you all remember all the math from high school
what the fuck i don't know anything i seriously feel like i'm one of the dumbest people here :|
hi
I feel like you're not one of the dumbest people here I am not any of the people described in your postttssss...t..
mild autism?
jk sillydood;
I don't think most of us remember all the math from high school/1st year college.
i always feel like i'm the dumb one
i always considered you to have a good head on your shoulders, you're pretty level headed, you're a good writer, and i consider you a pretty decent authority when it comes some types of music and video games
Kaz, what are you doing being so mean to yourself? You're not dumb. baddood;
We all have different interests, and as a result, our knowledge base reflects that. You know a lot about video games and anime for example. Way more than I know. You might not think this knowledge has value, but it is knowledge nonetheless.
If you want to know more about something, you're the only person preventing yourself from learning it. But, like I said earlier, there must be an interest to learn the subject at hand before you can make any significant progress.
I always wantede to b smart but I don't think I will ever be saddood;
I don't even know where I would fall for something like this
I have a big interest in bio but I wouldn't consider myself a genius in it, I am decently technologically proficient but there are people here who are so much more proficient at it. I guess I am good at giving advice on random things sometimes things I have no actual experience with but still am good at helping people but I wouldn't consider that something that is considered "smart."
Also I am utterly painfully bad at math so don't worry about that girl;
Don't compare yourself to other people, maybe.
I once compared myself to Kurt Vonnegut and I had a schizophrenic episode and ended up in Montana with four dollars to my name.

This is good advice. Definitely don't compare yourself to other people! Especially Kurt V he is talent.

i actually pretty much idolize Vonnegut and yet i would never compare myself to him because if i did i would just be killing myself because the man is some kind of genius that i can never hope to rival without being insane or something
also i'm totes dumber than kaz baddood;

This is turning into a feel good bitch session.
Either everyone's really dumb, or everyone's genius in some way.
Which is it?
Genius.

I think that's probably cause it is a lot more prevalent where Thyme is from so he at least has exposure to it, whereas just learning a foreign language say Korean or something without much exposure to it is a lot lot harder.
i don't really go near the tech or sports board due to lack of interest.

Aw, no one even posts there, don't worry girl;

Very much this. Video game publishers have started to localize games in French here only this generation. Previously, only Ubisoft bothered to do that. n_u I was pretty much immerged in English through my favorite hobby.
Not to mention television. When I was younger most of the movies I watched were dubbed, but I did watch a whole lot of YTV and Fox Kids. I started to go out of my way to watch movies in their original language only a few years ago.

The one thing every genius of the past lacks... is that they are not alive now. We are all, in a way, more genius than anyone who lived a half-century ago, even Vonnegut or Pynchon or Borges. happydood;

"going into" doesn't necessarily mean "good at" sillydood;
i'll be surprised if i haven't dropped out or at least changed my major by next semester lubdoods;
I don't think so Mr. Snorkel. They may be dead, but so are many of the things that made them into the geniuses they were. I compare myself to others all the time, but that is because we share many similarities. People who follow the truth in life tend to.

baddood; excuse me
I feel like I learn everything after being taught just once and I also remember 90% of the things I'm taught. I was born this way though. YOU CAN'T TEACH SMART, KAZ.
so deal w/ being stupid i guess
I consider myself ridiculously good (always have been effortlessly better than any of my classmates) at computer and math stuff, which is why I chose to major in them both, but I'm totally inept at like everything else n_n
I'm socially inept enough that I have little sense of what's interesting to others and can't give very subjective or emotional descriptions, thus failing at essay writing for English classes, but at least I have an above average sense of grammar as I'm sure all of us here do.
I don't remember like anything I learned in history classes because it never interests me

we can blame bad math from american physicists for the financial collapse
plus modern mathematical notation was predominately developed by arabs and europeans

Bullshit. All complex functions derive from simple ideas. And t is the lack of ideas and the poor imagination of Americans which will doom this country. Because if the financial crisis has shown us anything is that when you lose character, there is not a force powerful enough in the world to right a wrong. Not even arithmetic.
