The light pollution in areas of high population (e.g. Just outside Boston) can suck my dick. akudood;

It's sad that probably a lot of the stars you see in the sky possibly died out thousands of years ago or even more. :'(

its kinda weird to think about; if we find alien life, it would probably dead by the time we see it....
Moderately small town wisconsin offers reasonable views more often than not. I can actually put my scope to good use.

You can see some here, but I'm always taken aback by the beauty of the unpolluted sky when I see it from desolate places (Kaz can probably see neptune)

Chicago here, I feel ya.
Sucks man.
That's one thing I don't take for granted, living in a suburban/rural area.
I love looking up at the stars when it is totally clear and no moonlight. I sometimes focus on one and just assume that there is a planet circling it with another life form looking down at me.
That's how babies are made
WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE LOOKING IN A SKY FULL OF STARS
I can't remember my last experience ;_;

It's like being transported into another universe.
Even in Dedham, 10 miles from city limits, I still feel cut off from the stars. Nothing like New Hampshire or Maine. I love going up there. :3

I live in Minnesota. I see no stars. Milk is two blocks from my house.
