I LOVE A DAY TO REMEMBER. I'm gunna need to check this out.
Tie between Mono's Hymn to the Immortal Wind and The Antlers' Hospice so far. But there's a lot I haven't heard yet.

It's their best album imo, it's earned a spot on my list of favorite albums ever, matter of fact.

Although I expect that when the Them Crooked Vultures album drops it'll be my new favorite.

Woah. There's WAY too many. And they're not even comparable because they're completely different genres. But I've listened to at least one song off of this at least every other day since I got it. In May.

i am truley sorry for your lots
Here are 3 I really liked but couldn't really choose which was best out of them
I loved the new Mew album it was just plain awesome
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/15/Mew-No-More-Stories-Cover.jpg)
then the new katatonia album was good
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6f/Night_Is_the_New_Day_cover.jpg)
their sound is morphing and it seems to be going in a pretty good direction. There are a couple songs you can hear a pretty strong Opeth influence (which is expected since the lead singers are pretty good friends)
then the new Tegan and Sara (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c0/TS_Sainthood.jpg)
really grew on me after a couple listens
so i pick those 3
I've only heard like 3 songs from the new Mew album but I love them all. I'd get it, but their older stuff is more important to me right now.
Really, 2009 has been a great year for music. It's really surprising looking back on it.

I don't think I even like any of the 2009 albums I have.
i don't see what's interesting about paramore to so many people, they're pretty derivative
they just take what's good about better rock/pop music and take away all its rough edges and originality and carbon copy it thousands of times
they're not offensive to my ears, just really boring

Fever ray was wonderful,Embryonic was wonderful.
I liked Travels With Myself and Another, and Vapours, and the Resistance, but I feel like I'm idiosyncratic in my fangirliness for these.
Anyway, 2009: greatest year for music since I've been alive.

wait wait Vashti worked on Prospect Hummer?
Animal Collective-wise, I've always preferred Spirit They're gone, Spirit They've Vanished. Sung Tongs is quite boss, Feels has some wonderful moments. Water Curses (EP) was a fun ride, and Hollindagin is crazy wonderful stuff. Here Comes the Indian also has to get some props for Slippi...I've never heard anyone mention Campfire Songs, I don't particurally have a taste for it.
I never would've guessed for Prospect Hummer...glad I picked it up when I did.
Dashboard confessionals, i used to listen to them alot.
Yeah, I'd vouch for Veckatimest too.
