Legos, definitely. I built armies and made them fight, usually drawing inspiration from Star Wars to make ships and battle droids and shit.

I had this one Simba figurine that could move his mouth AND his tail, along with his four legs, which was revolutionary to me at least. So that was my favorite.

Also I enjoyed decapitating my sisters' barbies and then giving them back to them. Legos were fun too but I never had enough pieces to make an entire city :(

lincoln (linkin?) logs when I was small, and until the digital age (which officially began about halfway through 2001), definitely Legos.

damn I played with legos so much, I had a whole city I'd built with two different train sets (the freight one and the passenger one) and a huge track, a western part (it was like Little Italy or Chinatown, except with "old west" buildings and cowboys), a bunch of alien shit and a motherfucking space shuttle (always my favorite set)

I'll admit, the first versions were fucking awesome, but they're on like bionicles #13524 now and it's so lame and uninspired.

I agree with you completely, the new ones are retarded. I stopped them once they finished the main story and released that movie. I'm going to say I have about... 28 or so of them.

I have the original 7. I would always build bases for them and make them go on missions. Oh and I had all of those guys who can roll into balls. They are awesome too. They would have huge battles with the bionicles.

FUCK YEAH LEGOS.

I used to keep all of my Legos together fairly well, but now I have no idea where they are. They were a good medium for childhood imagination and I feel that I could make great use of them even at an older age.

I stopped when I was 11 I think, maybe 12. I thought that was way too late.

So, I'd say maybe 10 or 9.

I'll just post my top 5 favorites.

- Nerf shooting toy with about five foam balls.
- 3 toy pokeballs (I threw this shit at everything.)
- Pokemon mini figures
- A stick from a branch of a tree.  (Not a toy...but I used it as a toy with some other kids.  Blame it on Link to the Past...)
- slingshit
