lincoln (linkin?) logs when I was small, and until the digital age (which officially began about halfway through 2001), definitely Legos.

damn I played with legos so much, I had a whole city I'd built with two different train sets (the freight one and the passenger one) and a huge track, a western part (it was like Little Italy or Chinatown, except with "old west" buildings and cowboys), a bunch of alien shit and a motherfucking space shuttle (always my favorite set)

I had this duck on a stick. it had wheels and rubber feet and when you pushed it, the feet hit the floor and it was fucking awesome.

Hot Wheels. I had at least 50 of the things as well as one of those figure-8 tracks and one with a loop. 2 models I remember having was a DeLorean and a Mach5.
