I was coming home from the store and was behind a motorcycle. The car in front of the motorcycle decided to slam on their brakes for no reason at all.
The motorcycle then had to do the same, and I followed. I was so damn close to hitting the guy because the fuckup who stops for no reason. :(
I randomly brake for animals. baddood; Usually Kewns.
this is why you always leave.. uh... 5 seconds between you and the motorcycle.

Like a car length.
JMV you seem to have many problems with driving haha.
Isn't it a car length for every ten mph you are going? doodhuh;

Yup. 99% of drivers don't listen to that though. I am part of the 1%. doodella;
Yes, you leave a length but those generally only work when people brake like a normal person and don't slam on the brake.
Once the person slams on the brakes it becomes a test of reaction time and how far does your car slide.

Very true. Someone slammed on their brakes in front of my friend today. He barely dodged it by going into another lane. He then got picked up for not merging. doodhuh;

...The recommended lengths are there in case you need to brake for an emergency.

I don't think hitting your brakes for the hell of it is an emergency. It's just being a bad driver.

THE POINT IS, as long as you have the cushion of several seconds, no matter how fast you have to brake, you should be fine. baddood;
The people that scare me are the truck drivers in Memphis that try to run over you as they cross into your lane.
my uncle died because of someone who did that

My car slides like no other... hence my lovely accident that I get all the blame for when everyone in my family knew that car needs new brakes akudood;

That's what happens when you slam on the brakes. baddood;
You must depress the pedal quickly, but smoothly. It's not hard, but it does take some practice. I had to do it over three or four times during my driving test. madood;

That means we need to leave 14 car lengths.
Fuck.

There is just something harmonious about going 80 or so and only being a few feet behind the car in front of you. Even when they break, I can anticipate such and match their actions.
you and motor cycle guy should have kicked his ass
I hate when people slam on the brakes at the last minute at a light or when a car is stopped waiting to turn.
I always go really slow towards them so if they move or the light changes, I will still have speed, and won't have to start again from 0mph, and therefore save gas.
No one fucking realized how much gas they waste doing that stop-short bullshit.

Today my mom let me have the car and I went into the city and I took the highway all by myself. It was pretty good being able to go like 120.

I do the same thing. It's really fun to try and time it perfectly and go through the light right when it changes without slowing down at all.
