Apprently my aunt and uncle have been going around saying I fix computers, because I've been getting asked a lot more "Do you fix computers?" nonsense than I've been getting throughout the school year. Mainly just them going slow or something not working.
But is it really that easy to break something? befuddlement
IT'S WINDOWS AND WINDOWS SUCKS
Yes, yes it is.
I broke a window with a basketball once.
To an average person? Probably very easy.

If you know how to use a computer and don't try to do anything extraordinary, Windows usually works okay. But I still hate it.
Would trying to change a screensaver through the registry count as "extraordinary"?
uh with xp and its predecessors, yes, given that by default the user has full administrative privileges but i can't speak for vista

Last computer I was working on I had to because the Screensaver, Background, and Appearance tab got disabled in the Display properties thing. Though I had to remember how to re-enable them~
Apparently baddood;
windows sucks i hate it which is why i never turn on my PC unless i need too~~~~~~~~~
Yes, very easy.
Oh god my parents think I'm a computer expert and ask me about everything related to computer issues when I don't know shit.

Get them a Mac. Parents like shiny computers
It's easier to fuck up on a Linux distro.
But yeah, if you go around downloading and installing everything you will fuck up Windows.

That's nice. This doesn't make me like Windows any more than I did, though.
Of course not, never thought it would. When you have a semi irrational brand hatred such a post wont do jack shit, I just felt like saying my piece.
i've never fucked up my windows lol
my old laptop never had a virus. I had an adware infection once because I didn't pay attention when pirating something but I cleared that up in 10 minutes.
My dad got pissed at me for installing Firefox on the old desktop. He uninstalled it and it eventually broke. They then had to use my old laptop and I told them I would delete windows if I caught them using internet explorer so they had to use Firefox or Opera. Needless to say, they use Firefox now. baddood;
but yeah if you're not excessively stupid the virus problems will not be an issue. There are still the windows sucking problems though.
