Okay seriously, how easy is it to fuck up Windows?

Apprently my aunt and uncle have been going around saying I fix computers, because I've been getting asked a lot more "Do you fix computers?" nonsense than I've been getting throughout the school year. Mainly just them going slow or something not working.

But is it really that easy to break something?

To an average person?  Probably very easy.

If you know how to use a computer and don't try to do anything extraordinary, Windows usually works okay. But I still hate it.

uh with xp and its predecessors, yes, given that by default the user has full administrative privileges but i can't speak for vista

Last computer I was working on I had to because the Screensaver, Background, and Appearance tab got disabled in the Display properties thing. Though I had to remember how to re-enable them~
