though i still do good intentions i just do them for myself now instead for other people (because doing good things makes me feel less guilty and raises my karma n_____n)

Many people think that the thousands of scriptures and other written documents from ages long since passed, not to mention word of mouth that has continued since Jesus' time, are good enough to be considered records of existence. Plus, like YPR said, we have the Census of Quirinius, which is indeed a record stating that Jesus existed.
