So I'm strolling along the golden passage to my residence after another jolly day at the local educational institution, when out of the blue I hear a most fine young lass calling out from behind me. She says "Ronald?" in a most glorious tone. I then turn around and see two girls together near a house, and another girl about 20 feet away near a car. Who the hell was calling at me? I don't know because I can't identify a person more than thirty feet away and I most certainly can't see their mouth move. She then shouts at me, "How are you?" I say "fine" in an unintentionally aggressive tone. I'm thinking it's my old Asian acquaintance Ashley, because one of the girls seemed to have similar black hair and the clothing looked familiar, but I couldn't tell and I didn't want to look a like a dumbass running up to some girl I probably didn't know well just to say "fine."
I just turned around and walked away, feeling like I just abandoned a fair young lady. :'(
But yeah, has someone ever tried to talk to you like an old friend but you have no idea who they are?
All the time.
I have a hard time caring about most people that had vanished from my life and a hard time catching up most of the time.
no, i've got 20/20 visown
Sometimes I randomly run into kids from my Elementary days and they're like "Hi, Nyerp!" and I just ignore them lol.
I try to avoid old acquaintances which might lead to an awkward situation due to a long period of inactivity or an end in relationship with bad terms.
No, I have a great memory. baddood;

You could of just shouted fine or even waved...
One time at the mall. Kept hearing my name called but didn't want to turn around. I hate when I don't hear a familiar voice.

I talk to you. :(
Get some damn contacts.
Lawlz, there are many options available...

Always happens to me. I don't wear vision enhancers outside of school, so whenever I go to other places and someone I know says "Hello" from far away, I can't tell who/here they are. edumacate;
It makes me feel as though I'm ignoring them, when I really just can't see them. :(

They degrade your vision farther and can be dangerous.
Glasses are terrible for your eyes and you quickly become reliant on them.

And you can't see shit out of school.
Yes, I hate when I meet someone I knew, but I don't know who they are. It's not due to vision problems, I just don't recognize them. Most of the people in my elementary school went to one middle school, while I went to another. We all go to the same high school, unless someone has moved. I see people I used to know from time to time.
One time, in ninth grade, an old friend came up to me. He looked at me and said, "David?" I didn't recognize him because he buzzed his hair and dyed it black. As soon as I realized who he was, he was already gone.

The only way I recognize people is by their body shape and hair. If a friend that normally has mid-length hair gets it shaved, I won't know who they are unless they get within 10 feet of me. If a fat girl I know loses 50 pounds, I won't know her even if she comes up to my face.
No, I have great eyesight. :)
No, but voice recognition is bad for me, so I mix up voices from phone calls a lot. Male ones, at least.
I can recognize faces and such just fine though and my vision isn't too bad. It's bad enough for me to have glasses, but not bad enough to be required to wear them.

I often have to identify a person by voice, but I talk little so I often don't really get to memorize the voice of a girl that I see for about 15 minutes a day or less. Men I have no trouble with, but if it's an Asian girl, they all sound alike and very rarely do they talk to me unless they're with friends and trying to show off (and I have no idea why.)
my vision is pretty bad
i want laser eye surgury because
1. glasses i break them
2. contacts are not for me
3. id be like superman

If you're trying to make fun of me, I think you're talking to the wrong user.
Your eyes are getting worse as we speak, and they will continue to get worse as you get older.
Why be miserable when you can suck it up and wear some god damn contacts? Your eyes are going to get worse whether or not you wear them.

They can degrade slowly, or they can degrade more rapidly.
and contacts can be painful and getting savage beasts on them like amoebas will fuck your shit up
i should get lasik eye surgery
I try to avoid most women as all they want are hugs and to "walk" with me. I prefer strolling to class alone, wishing I was home.
And yes, I can't see anything without glasses. I have to wear them during class to be able to see the board, and even with them, because my glasses are so old, I can barely see anything. I'm going to get new glasses soon, and no, not the retarded thick black-rimmed glasses that everyone that wants to be "ghetto" wears. I'm thinking about getting something like Colbert's wire, rimless glasses.

My father got it and suffers from night blindness now. Also, he had to wear sunglasses everywhere for two years, including dim restaurants at night.

He obviously didn't get it from LASIK, then. It's an incredibly simple procedure with pretty much no negative side effects.

Fine then, walk around in a blur for the rest of your life.
Lawlz, Title is actually right, your eyes naturally get worse as a kid. Contacts do practically nothing to speed up the process, and some people actually said their vision improved with them over the years. Though I don't really see that being too frequent.
what's wrong with glasses, if you're scared of breaking them, take them off between classes and during gym goonish
My eyes are weird. I have something like 20/30 vision in my left eye and 20/15 in my right eye. With both eyes, I'm 20/20, but by closing them one at a time I can make things get blurrier or clearer. Also I have minor colour blindness. I see too much red and not enough green, so dark blues often look purple to me.
I don't usually forget faces, but I'm terrible with names.

I have like 20/100 vision in one eye, 20/112 in the other
If only.

If I could only get a pair of these...
DARPA Does It Again (http://gizmodo.com/370414/darpa-wants-contact-lenses-to-turn-real+life-combat-into-call-of-duty-4)
Then I could have Infa Red, Night Vision, Optical Zoom, Enhanced Graphics, Internet, Ect... All in my contacts, might even be able to play games on it.
