FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARCE
French I.
Spanish.
okaay i was at first thinking spanish cause i thought it would be easier, and more convenient to learn for the area i live in. plus it's sort of a stepping stone to learning lots of other languages.
buut, i'm also interested in french cause it's the language of love, of course. and you can be like "heey, i know french" which is cooler then knowing spanish. pluus, i might be interested in working towards a fashion industry career, which could lead to a lot of work in paris, london etc.
so idk!!
French will come in handy if you're ever wanted as a fugitive.

I'm offended.
I had to take spanish, french, latin, and german in New York. French is the second easiest (latin first) and it's rather similar to English. Also, French sounds good if you work at it for a while.
Spanish is just utter slop and no matter who speaks it it will forever remain the most annoying language in the world and no one gives a shit about the horrible language. Unless you live in Mexico or another shitty country, in which case go ahead. If you want to sound good and speak an awesome language that'll go well with some of our closest trading partners like Canada, take French.

I couldn't agree more.
Even Cajun French is better than Spanish.
I'd say Spanish because it's probably the second most-spoken language in the US, so it would be a big help. I agree though, while it is helpful, Spanish is a pretty horrible language.
Mandarin Chinese.
Also, I hated French, but it's mostly due to the fact that my teachers didn't know how to teach, and were pushed around by the obnoxious kids for most of the period
spanish.
it'll be more useful doodthing;
Spanish. It's easier and much more useful.

Spanish is useless unless you live in some third world nation located within the Americas. Brazil speaks Portuguese, making Spanish all the more useless.

Yeah, because you know, we're not seeing and hearing more and more spanish with every passing day.
Are you blind and deaf? That languag is taking over this country like a plague.
Also, I plan to move to the southwest, which is like doubley bad.

Taco Bell doesn't use actual Spanish.

You're fucking retarded. You've never been to southern CA. You've never been to Texas. The language is, like Selkie said, like a fucking plague over there, and you're an idiot if you can't realize that.

It's pretty common here too so I can just imagine how much it is used in the south west.
I wonder what parts of the U.S. other than Louisiana and northern Maine actually use French. Lawlz lets his racist views get in the way of him actually thinking like a person with an IQ above 60.

Yes, language is a race.

You know very well that you only dislike the language because of Hispanics.

No, I dislike it because it's a highly annoying language. I don't give a damn where a person or their family comes from.

Boo fucking hoo. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not an amazingly common language here in the Western hemisphere as well as in Europe.
I voted for spanish. If you think about the number of immigrants coming into our country, it'll be very convenient to know their language. Plus, most work-places nowadays look for bi-lingual employees.
