Under Bootcamp, for whatever reason, it seems Windows can't work with my speakers. It adds some odd echo effect that sounds like a cartoon laser. It's just continuously going "bweoweouwfsh." psyduck;

of course i did psyduck;
It added some Realtek HD Audio or something, and that may be a problem. Maybe it thinks "high definition sound (lolwut)" involves echoes and lasers. Booting up Crysis was like playing in a cave. Bioshock didn't have sound problems as severe as the rest of the system, but it seems Windows likes to be incredibly loud. It I turn it down just a tad, it sounds like someone barfing incessantly... and it's still loud enough to hurt my ears. psyduck;
goddamn how can someone bear to use windows as anything more than a novelty os

Apple just doesn't know how to make drivers. burned;
I use a Realtek AC '97, and it works wonderfully, even in OS X. navi;
And you're dead to me for hating Crysis.

For once, we agree.
Seriously, it's not hard to open up the realtek soundmanager. Haven't they started with SoundMax manager's in new computers, though? Seriously, it's fucking easy, with environment settings and fun digital switches and shit.

i know how to open it but ms just hates any and all sound systems
My father's laptop is too loud like this beast, and our old XP PC distorted every sound and even at my voume you had to hold the speakers to your ear to hear anything.
i think microsoft is the one that's retarded since they've never prperly designed any operating system or piece of software

Yeah, I know, I had sound problems, but I found the problem. Someone busted the speakers so I had to change the settings to Laptop type, and the problem was fixed. It's why you never use the Front sound port.
