Well, today I got my essay about Garret Hardin's essay "Lifeboat Ethics: The Case Against Helping the Poor" back.
On the last page my teacher wrote the comment "I don't think this is your work, if I find a source you'll get no points"
I'm not sure if I should be honored that she thought my paper was so awesome that I couldn't have written it, or if I should be offended that she would accuse me of something so absurd and untrue.
The one thing she could have claimed I copied was when I said "50% of the world's wealth is owned by 2% of the population", but I then cited it with 1 and put my source in a footnote.
What should I do?
in b4 rape, stick it in her pooper, etc.
Just go talk to her about it. psyduck;
Sit back and watch as she feverishly tries to find a source for the paper, and then comes to the astonishing realization that you in fact, did write it yourself. Dumb bitch. Well, you did do it all yourself, right?
Also, can I read the paper? powerofone;
Also, cocks.

Yeah, I did do it.
I'll PM you what I wrote. I don't want it out in the open because, you know we don't want her searching for quotes from my paper and having the forum I am an admin on having the essay I handed in, because that might be proof.
Let the dumb bitch look for a source. If she blames you on copying in even then take legal action. caterpie;
You should be offended because shes not honoring your work. argh;
You could have told by the tone of her voice.
The worst thing you can possibly do is ignore it.
Definitely just go up to her before/after class one day and say "I promise I wrote this entire thing, and the one thing I borrowed was cited; I definitely did not copy this from anywhere. Though, I must say it's pretty flattering to be told that my work is thought to be on a pretty high level =)"

Then sitck it in her pooper. wub;
I'd talk to her and make her tell me that it was my work and then tell her to go back to the kitchen argh;
You should be honored.
I would be too if a paper that I wrote resembles that of a professional.
I usually come across something like this once or twice a year. What I usually say is "well, go ahead... you're not gonna find anything and just because my paper is so good doesn't mean it's stolen; search all you want, but I did this paper."
I find it really annoying that my teacher would think that something I wrote is too good just because a majority of people around me are dumbassses.

You're saying you don't believe me? It's usually the fact that I don't use "like" so very often and actually have a good grasp of grammar that triggers it.
Of course, it's usually just "Are you sure you wrote this?" crap.
