My school used to be entirely Macs, but as of this year, they're converting entirely to shitty Dells. I must say that I'm pretty sad. :'(
Uh well the university has a shit-ton of both new iMacs, old iMacs, and new PCs
also a few macbooks
Just some IBM pc's running IE7.
All the teachers get Macbooks to use for themselves, from what I've seen. gonk;
All the rest of the computers are these crappy Dells and some Macbooks (G4).

iBooks. psyduck;
Like I know the difference. psyduck;
All of the teachers get black imacs/books/whatever to themselves, while the library and computer lab have lame dells.
But hey, we do have a mac lab. powerofone;
iMac G3s and G5s.
PCs that run Linux at my old school. No idea what my new school runs

I at least wish my school would do that.
Hell, the admins at my school are so retarded that they require students and teachers use Firefox when browsing the internet on the few Macs they have left for use.
Shitty ass Dells. :'( I think I'll write a letter to my school district asking them to switch to Macs.
The writing and art classes use iMacs, every other class uses Dell PCs :'(
I'm using one of the pitiful ibm's right now. The keyboard and mouse are so weird compared to my gaming hardware at home... God I just wish they had sensetivity settings at school. emo;
Most are old Dells and Gateways, I think. I don't have any classes currently in which I'd use them.
In TV Production, though, we've got Macs. Each of the two teams has a G5 Mac Pro, which are decent in terms of performance, but outdated. There's also a G4, which I'll hesitate to call a Mac Pro because A) not sure if that's what it was called and B) given the risk of A being true, I don't want Lawlz or other macfags to yammer about how wrong I am. It does have a dual-processor setup, though. The account we use on it is limited, though, so I can't install anything that would be useful. I just read information about Blender on it while everyone else actually works.
also single button mice suck assballs
god damn i could go without a right click but i need a christing scroll wheel
We used to use those colorful Macs, but last year they switched to Dells. I guess every school does it.
All we have are some shitty Dells.

POWER MAC FAGIT. If it's a PPC, it's Power. If it runs on an Intel processor, it's a Pro.
Also, Apple knows jack shit about scroll balls. The average life-span of a Mighty Mouse scroll ball is two weeks---and that's being generous.
new pcs they have like ati x1600s and ucking 2gb ram and hit
The Dell shit.

blah blah blah yadda yadda
Eh, the other group's G5 has a Mighty Mouse. I don't like the scroll ball that much, and the absence of a middle-click is still sucky.
god damn i have to hold down so many modifier keys to do anything in blender :'(

If it has a scroll ball, it has a middle-click; that'd be the center button. Each button's function is customizable from the system preferences, which I bet you don't have access to so the middle click is probably set to nothing.
And I think those "one-button" mice you were referring to have a right-click and a left-click.

uh if they do it's not as simple as just clicking in the middle psyduck;
also god damn separate the buttons
sleek designs should not beat out usability

dunno maybe but for being so easy to use macs are complicated :(
also how the hell do i press a teeny tiny ball
uh doubt it
holding a click on the g5 seems to effectively be a right-click, but given the wait involved, control clicking or apple clicking depending on the application is easier
wait guff is still in school?
The newer ones are Dells, and older ones are Compaqs.
Flat screen Dells. Nothing special.
ITT my Mighty Mouse has worked fine for over two months and lawlz is a dumbass

I know
I chose the apple brand
I wish I had bought a decent REAL multibutton bluetooth mouse
Standard, generic Dells.
iBooks (G4)
But I heard my teacher saying that we were gonna get new computers in February. pseudo;
G5's for my film editing class, and crappy Dells everywhere else. ;-;

Speak for yourself. My scroll wheel broke after a month - and I took good care of it, mind you.
And, of course, right clicking is a pain. But I'm sure you already knew that.
Dells. Pretty crappy ones, but not too bad.
My only complaint is they make it soo easy to print off other computers in the network. My elite hacking skills(as you all know) let me print a stream of insults off my evil teacher's computer.
I didnt even get detention...
Well i'm using my own laptop. wub;

I have no trouble with right clicking, but Jesus, it's a bitch when the middle click gets locked up...
Shit-ass Windows 2000 and XP.
They have crap firewalls, and they won't let us use anything better than IE6. psyduck;
Shitty macs
They just replaced most of the computers with brand new iMacs this year... they're fast. powerofone;
No doubt they'll all be fucked up by next year, though. poppy;
