You must have a very cynical personality to think that. Look, blacks are discriminated against on a significant scale. Some things that are being accomplished now they never had the chance since, well, now. (Obama anyone?) Whites as a whole aren't discriminated against. If you grow up in a poor area and go through tough times there you will be treated better when searching for colleges though. It really depends on what you're talking about specifically.

What I want to know is, if we want to achieve racial equality, why is there still segregation? Things like Black History Month or an Asian Awareness Club are unnecessary if we really want to believe that all races are equal. However, with events and clubs such as these, we're separating black and Asian accomplishments from accomplishments of other races.
And speaking of segregation, a lot of schools are still essentially segregated by the rift between lower income and mid-income students. People love to spew on about how schools are supposedly diverse now, but it's really a load of BS. At my school, most of the honors classes are entirely white, while the regular classes are mostly black and Hispanic.
