once i did some key thingy and it stopped x and took me to command line so i did startx and it went back to x duhh

I don't even know what happened. I am trying to remove compiz now, maybe that will fix some shit.

I can't use compiz or the top bar disappears.

Also transparency is fucked up on Terminal.

the window bar of the application you're using, or one of gnome's bars

why would you use transparency on your terminal :|

The window bar, making it a pain in the ass to move windows, close, and minimize them.

Transparency comes in use when you are reading something while using the terminal.
