Go Down

ncba93ivyase

My mother just told me that she saw some flashing lights outside pretty far out into the sky. Well, I had been wanting to go outside all day, and this was a chance to possibly see something interesting. I was thinking it was just an airplane or something, but who cares. So I go outside, with my eyes still adapted to my bedroom light and see nothing. My mother keeps telling me to look under this one star, but still I see nothing out of the ordinary.

But then I see it; a tiny little dot flashing red and green, like a tiny Christmas light. I was still just thinking it was an airplane, considering this is Fort Campbell, but airplanes don't hover in a stationary position, and they don't go beyond our atmosphere.

I rummage through my dresser, trying to find my old pair of binoculars my grandmother gave me about a decade ago. I quickly run outside to see the speck more clearly, and I nearly shit my pants. A series of these little lights flying in the classic V formation. Naturally, the one in the middle is the largest. Could it be the International Space Station? No, it's not that large and it would've moved. Could it be a few helicopters? No, they can't achieve such an altitude, and their lights wouldn't be seen from so far away. Supernova? Thought about it, but I doubt it'd be flashing in such a way and I doubt it would be spread out so much. Extra terrestrials? Only thing I can think of that even sounds mildly plausible. And no, they're not stars.

If I have my bearings correct, it looked to be northwest.

It's a series of little blinking dots that are almost impossible to see with the naked eye, so if you have some binoculars or a telescope, you can try scanning the sky for something. If it's as far out as I think, you may also be able to see it. If not, then you can proceed to call me crazy. caterpie;

Oh god, how I would love a real life Earthbound adventure.

I should start up that game again, I got to like the 2nd time you visit Mr Saturns' village (which I now know why they are so fucking awesome by the way) and stopped.

Report back in, I like where this story is going

HOLY SHIT, THERE'S FIRE IN THE SKY.

Not really, but the objects, whatever they may be, are certainly farther out than they were before. They're now in a right-side-up V formation instead of the upside-down one they were in earlier. For all we know, there may be creatures from another planet studying our culture or military. When I was but a wee loli, I did see some odd and tremendous flying object hovering near Fort Carson. Hell, they could also be experimental aircrafts.
