Pretty cool- realistically speaking it's just a continuation of the protests. The media's coverage of it is (unsurprisingly) pretty disgusting. Kind of crazy to me how the police just left the barricades there and that is what created the zone- it's not like people took it by force or anything.

I am still concerned about covid so I haven't spent any actual time besides my 5 minute walk through. But people seemed chill and like they were there for good reason. Gf and I are planning on going tomorrow morning (assuming it will be low trafficked then) to give some donations (they have a co-op stand with free shit and random things like gatorade and sleeping pads are in high demand)

did you see that fox news literally photoshopped its pictures of CHAZ to make it seem more violent lmfao

they really just get worse and worse

yep- i watched the tucker carlson bit too. can't blame people who think that it is turning into an anarchist colony because that's what our fucking media is telling them lol

shit should be illegal. we need a council of truth that validates every bit of news coming out of these shitty conglomerates because they are doing so much more harm than good.

nah

went back today with my gf and walked around for like 30 minutes. didn't really talk to anyone and there also wasn't anything structured going on (we went at like 10am) but it was pretty cool how many people were camped out and how many stalls for free (community donated) food there were. the vibe was wholesome and laid back, with the exception for some homeless dudes doing their thing. also saw some dude with a cooler labeled "free beer" and was giving out raniers and chatting with people.

pretty neat overall i'm still scared of covid though so i probably won't be spending any extended time there. curious how long it will hold out for. there is also a LOT of art (graffiti and more legit "street art") and i'm curious how much of it will remain intact after everything is over.

Travis
