The artist formally known

I got to work on one satellite and it was glorious. It was a NASA project. Basically we put a mass spectrometer in space. The satellite points using magnets and weights.

I am working on power supplies. It's pretty intense engineering- analog, power supplies, digital controls, and were doing wireless communications too. Plus the power supplies are very dense packaging. Unfortunately I'm not in an engineering role, only technician so I'm seeking other opportunities and applying for advancement within. They send all the engineering they can to China so the US HQ is like 6 engineers. China is like 50.

first satellite I was a part of we got lots of awesome data. It was a software program for JPL which main purpose was to autonomously choose priority for the pictures to downlink to earth. I’ll post some photos we got sometime.

The mass spectrometry one didn’t communicate properly once it went up. We got some results but mostly it has to be redone. There are meticulous notes so it should be a ton easier this time.

Hell no but granted I was facing a uphill battle anyways. I had been going to many doctors up until I finally found one that had helped me a ton.

I got so much experience and I’m at a great company but I’m the lowest technical position there, though the company is like 7 engineers in the US so it’ll be a matter of time.

In fact the other technician just announced he is leaving.

I’ve been Interviewing at a lot of places but man do a lot of them suck. They are paying more than the place I work at but I won’t get as much experience there.
