TP's spinner is one of if not the worst item in the Zelda series

at first it seems like it could be promising, like a way to move around quickly, but then it immediately slows down to a halt. It's only useful in the very rare situation where you absolutely need it, never as an optional tool you can use as you like. The Dominion Rod kinda shares this problem but at least it's not as lame and they try to make decent puzzles out of it.

also i agree that the base 10 scale is heavily skewed to the right, and i agree that it's partly because it's the standard school grading scale

but it's also important to consider that reviewers are more likely to review good games/games they want to play

so it might seem like the 'average' game is a 7.5, but it's more like the average game that anyone would possibly care to play is a 7.5

very few people are reviewing barbie and her sisters: puppy rescue, or bratz: rock angelz, or the piece of indie garbage that was just uploaded to steam ten minutes ago because no reviewer has any interest in wasting their lives playing true shovelware

these and thousands more are all games that actually exist and would drag the average gaming score way down if anyone cared to review them, but nobody does, and as a consequence the /10 scale ends up being biased to the higher end

and even if the skew of the scale annoys you, it's the standard and is likely to remain that way and deviating from the standard by insisting on your own personal scale just wastes time and causes confusion lol
