according to blu, this actually is a feature of smf 2.1 which is currently in beta lol

so very soon we might actually have an uplote system

is there a way to clear the alerts without having to click the mark read thing????

yeah i would kinda like it if, when you click on the link in an alert, that alert would then be marked read and would disappear

as of now it only seems to be possible to mark ALL of them as read, and that's lame
