Yeah it's pretty stupid how actions get categorized now. Anything that was done or said in a relationship which can be construed as "mean" is now "abuse." Sexual harassment and rape are now basically identical in their severity. It's retarded. We're somehow becoming this Puritanical society where any "sin" must be made public and the sinner publicly shamed regardless of guilt. It really does reflect the witch hunts and trials in some ways. People that want attention accuse others without caring about how that will impact their lives. McCarthyism all over again.

Note: Obviously there are those actually guilty of their accusations but it really seems as if the court of public opinion now damns any accused as guilty until proven innocent and even by then the damage has been done to their life and reputation.

I mean as far as Keillor goes, there was an investigation into the whole thing before he was fired, and it was only made public because he chose to make it public. Which makes it look pretty bad. We also only have his side of it right now, which makes it hard to actually feel like we know the truth.

i dunno about keillor, but the dude i know is most likely going to sue lol. he talked to a lawyer and he said it would be one of the easiest cases he's ever done given what he provided to him as evidence, and basically said the world was his oyster in terms of settlement. he's meeting with the lawyer to have his brain picked on friday.

he was over at my place yesterday to talk to my GF, but he showed me some shit too that makes me think he truly is innocent, at least of the claims of violence she put forth. basically she dumped him and he moved on in like a month, and it seems like she's just salty. she's been messaging him all the time up until about a week before she posted some this shit claiming he's an abuser.

sucks that even if he wins the lawsuit his life as it was is still practically over tho
