Saturday morning cartoons are just a way of getting kids up early on the weekends so they don't fuck up their sleep schedules for school.

I think it’s the other way around. Their sleep schedule is more set-in than adults, so they’re gonna wake up early no matter what. Might as well give them something to watch while their parents are still in bed.

Not to mention toy commercials.

Probably a large contributing factor was my enforced 9 o clock bedtime That's a solid 9 hours of sleep right there even waking up at 6.
