I'm as dead on the inside as usual goodjob;

My city won't even get hit by hurricane-force winds at all. I'm totally safe even though the peak of the storm is happening in the next hour or so here. I still have power, but it flickered a couple times.

I wish we could get together Bluaki. We could commiserate and see who is the deadest.

The peak of the storm was last night at like 2am. My cell service and landline Internet both died at about the same time. The cell service came back about 12 hours later, ISP is still down. Most of Melbourne doesn't have power, but my neighborhood does.

Part of my fence fell apart, but surprisingly my neighbor (who I never met until today despite living here a year) offered to fix it for me if I just pay for the supplies. My house is intact and the rest of my cleanup just amounted to throwing away some thin branches and picking up my potted plants that fell over.

I still don't know if my work will be open tomorrow.

Ugh, Hurricane Maria has almost exactly the same location and projected path right now as Irma had less than two weeks before it hit. myface;

I haven't had that much free time lately but was thinking of finally taking down my hurricane shutters today. Now I'll wait. akudood;
