There is a bit of difficulty with cleaning up BBCode and quotes tho

an extremely crude solution might be to have it simply ignore any post that contains [brackets]

but that would mean that no post that includes formatting of any kind could ever be part of the chain

also i wrote a test script that parses out quotes but it gets kind of tricky with nested quotes
