As you may know, infallible leader of the heirs of the Ottoman empire declared war on the backwards and poverty ridden ex-roman vassal, current teet-sucker of russia.

Does anyone know why war was even declared?
Why do they have to do this?

I know Russia and Turkey agreed to co-operate and this declaration has thrown that agreement into the trash, which is OK because i like to see russia struggle. YET, this leaves turkey in a strange spot. Obviously more powerful than war-ridden Syria, yet they also (indirectly) declared war on russia. NATO, legally, doesn't have to do anything, but at the same time it wouldn't be cool to let an ally get torn apart in a war.

Obama doesn't want to focus on syria, leaving it all up to Jono Kerry.
Trump doesn't seem eager to mess around with russia.
Does Turkey have any other ally?

Can they win?

Could Syria defend itself?

Could Russia restore it's super power status?

In my, humble, opinion the only one s who will truely benefit from this whole debacle are... :drumrolls:
