If you could play with gamecube controllers (or other controllers that allowed for as precise inputs) and there was the same amount of lag as CRTs, then definitely. It will be iffy if the actual game is modified at all and would probably divide the community slightly if so.

Hmm. I didn't know thst CRTs are used most often; is it because it allows you to precisely time "wavedashing" and those other tricks
has the community reviewed newer technology for input lag

HDTVs have too much lag for thevreally precise tricks. At our tournaments they bring in CRTs.

it isn't inherent to HDTVs actually it is how the Wii and Gamecube output video IIRC. There are (supposedly) zero lag asus monitors that i've played on and haven't noticed lag. i think that if the game was natively made for a console that played well with HDTVs we could be okay (but i don't really know)

people weren't really happy with the latest update and then they stopped development altogether but oh well melee is better anyway
