I was awake for my whole wisdom teeth procedure.
obviously I was numbed.

One of them wouldn't come out smoothly, so they had to break it on half essentially, and pull the pieces

It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be

i'm pretty sure grav hits would be just as bad. just because you had no problem doesnt mean that it's not risky
im p sure that any smoke remotely in your mouth can be bad
also the suction would be bad since i think you can pull out stitches

nah fam. dry sockets arise because the suction in your mouth from hitting like a cig or a joint causes the scabs to fall off. when you hit a grav bong, youre basically just breathing in the smoke from a bottle or whatever and you're not actually sucking in. like when you hit a blunt you basically suck the smoke into your mouth and then inhale, but a grav you basically just put your mouth over the bottle and inhale it directly into your lungs. grav bong hits are just like taking a deep breath through your mouth, as opposed to actually sucking in the smoke through pursed lips

it was pretty freaky knowing what they were doing, but it just, wasn't AS bad as I thought
