so if you posted from 0-100% quota in one day, and stopped poisting, would you stay at 100% for one month and then immediately go to 0%?

C.Mongler

i mean you would have to post all 950 or whatever posts literally at the exact same time, but yes, i think...

Daddy

If you posted 900 times in a single day (June 1st) without any posts before or after you'd stay at 100 until July 1st, at which point your quota would drop to 0% throughout the day.

C.Mongler

well it looks like this is now QUOTA LAW not quota theory, mods plz fix

no

The function for caculating quota works as follows

1.) Multiply the number of days for a quota (30) in our case  by 86400 (number of seconds in a day) and subtract that the current time, to get the exact timestamp to the second 30 days ago.
2.) Pull a list of posts by a user since that timestamp. Count the number of results
3.) Divide the number of results by the number for a 100% quota (900)
4.) Display that as a percentage up to 100%

So a post made even 2592001 seconds prior to the query being made won't be counted.
