sorry if this is scattered but here it goes
basically my parents (mostly stepdad) have been growing more and more infuriated with me over the past 2 years, and especially the past year:

-forced into this awful job (see previous thread about this)

-they hate my girlfriend because she is shy and is afraid of/dislikes my stepdad because he's an alcoholic abusive scumbag. also because she's had a rough past they think i should ditch her (my mom doesn't want to deal with more drama because the drama between her and my stepdad is apparently all the drama anyone in my family is allowed)

-my step-cousin moved into our house in May at Chris' (my stepdad) invitation, without consulting with my mom, who did not approve. he proceeded to work the same job as me, for more money, paid no rent, ate all the food, and used his money to go party on weekends and buy a tv/ps4 before leaving in august to go to school. immediately after he moved out, I was forced to pay $100 a week for rent. this has completely stalled my savings for moving back to flagstaff.

-stepdad left the house and said he was leaving our family about 2 or 3 weeks ago and blamed it purely on me, claiming that since i make all the family decisions and run all over him apparently, that i have to be the man of the house now, since that's clearly what I want. when i told him i was planing on leaving soon he said it was too late. 3 days later he came back home and pretended nothing happened.

-he's always encouraged me to drive his truck everywhere (he has a work vehicle he drives now) claiming it's basically mine now, but then has been throwing fits about me driving it for the past few months, claiming I'm destroying it (when really i take far better care of it that he did). 2 weeks ago he decided my mom is now required to drive his truck (which has no AC) as punishment to see how she likes me driving her car around. eventually he changed his mind but my mom still demands I drive her car for fear of Chris throwing another fit, although she seems very distressed about me driving her car. both have been acting like my girlfriend demands I drive her across the city to parties and bullshit, when in reality I drive to work, home to change, school (which i go to for work), and then dropping her off every night, since her car broke down and they can't afford to fix it.

-Due to this both Adry and I had to take Ubers very regularly for the past week, which has eaten a ton of our money.

-Being fed up with all this, on Friday I had Adry write down a list of things that I wanted to talk about, and then we went back home and I asked them to sit down and give me 15 minutes uninterrupted for me to explain my side and try to settle things with them. Chris proceeded to interrupt me constantly, would take everything I said wildly out of context, and quickly ignored anything I was saying and turned the whole thing into a shouting match. girlfriend left because they somehow felt she was feeding me with lies to tell them, and from there the argument became less and less about anything at all besides how I need to shout and not be "whispering and holding my little notepad" as well as shit-talking my girlfriend, saying she's crazy and not the one for me (he's previously expressed concern about my mom having mexican grandchildren), saying I shouldn't be helping her out and need to send her a bill for driving her home from school, and that she should suck his dick (since "nothing in life is free") and that if I want to quit this job I'm a fucking idiot. girlfriend came back inside and he did his big intimidating pose, stared her down and screamed at her that she doesn't run things and how often does she talk to him etc. from there i grabbed my backpack and her and I walked outside where she broke down and felt guilty about the whole thing.

-my sister came and picked us up and said i could stay the night, then at her (boyfriend's) place she just said i need to suck it up and keep doing what they tell me. annoyed i said "i'm not fucking working for chris anymore" and her boyfriend told me not to talk like that in his house, and both were annoyed with me, so gf and I went to her house.

-spent friday night there, talked to my uncle, who was actually sympathetic and wasn't sure what I should do. got offer for to go to boyahaus. saturday night her parents didn't want me to stay again so I snuck into my house late, packed my things, then woke up early and got another uber to her house. after both my sisters declining to help, and having no friends here, I went back home sunday night.

Any change of moving in with the girlfriend somewhere? She going to school or working?
yeah the plan has been to move with her back to Flagstaff, me going back to NAU and her the nearby community college. I've already been accepted back to school.
Only problem is affording being on my own, as well as getting myself and my girlfriend through the rest of this year.
Now that I can't be counted on to drive her home and the bus doesn't run at 9pm when her class ends (she has been waking up at 4:30 and taking the bus to work, then to school, then back to work, then back to school, and me driving her home [we both have night classes at the same time], with uber rides thrown in where she was short on time.) her mom is going to try to repair her car again, though my girlfriend has to pay $900 for that, which is the rest of her financial aid/savings to move back to flagstaff. her mom claims she'll try to pay my gf back for that eventually

Christ.

Man, a clean break from that place (including where you work, if that's associated with this guy as well) sounds like the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

I guess, regarding living expenses, have you looked into some financial assistance for campus housing already (you shooting to start during the spring semester?)?
Also, maybe some ride-share groups around campus or in flagstaff that you could hook up with?

The business is run primarily by him and his old high school buddies. it's a fairly large group now, but it's still like the 4 or however many of them at the top. I never wanted to work there, and I'm trying to get out now. Chris insists I keep working there despite everyone besides him and the owner knowing I don't want to work there and most of them actively disliking me (I keep getting moved around because every crew complains about me. the last one I was with for over a month and they made fun of me on a daily basis and confronted me on the shitty job I do multiple times.)  plus the work itself is just awful. The reason I'm taking this class right now (fundamentals of AutoCAD) is to get moved to a design position there. I was told I had the position before even applying, then once I got there was told I had to do manual labor for a few weeks. That was at the beginning of June, and they're telling me now I'll be there in January or so. In theory once I move to that department and work there for 2 or 3 years I could be making around 5k a month, but the work environment is too awful, plus I already have other plans and I hate Phoenix regardless.

I need to contact some financial aid advisers asap, and plan on going to my current community college tomorrow to see what they can help me with. I don't know of any campus housing that would allow me to live with my girlfriend. A car isn't necessary in Flagstaff since you can basically walk everywhere.

yeah, though they seem to just be blaming it all on her.
either way UPDATE: I got fired from my job on Wednesday, so now I'm just looking for something seasonal to get me through the year. Haven't talked to my stepdad for more than 5 seconds, didn't even see him for a full week, but he thinks I told them I didn't want to work there anymore when really they said it and I didn't disagree since I was on the verge of tears Monday.
My girlfriend is driving me when she can now, but it sucks that she had to get all this work done to her car because now her/her mom can't afford for her to go to Disneyland for her birthday which is the 12th. Her mom was going to take her for one day on the 17th and she's been desperately wanting to go since I met her, but now that's not happening. I'm not sure how to make her birthday special, she's just dreading it :(

also sent my laptop out for repairs which is why I haven't been online

oh also just on saturday I DYED MY HAIR PINK

Go Up
