Our Hiro.

He comes home after a long day labouring in the Arizona sun.  Drenched in sweat and a stench of which only a man can be proud, he opens the door and proceeds to strip his dusty work boots from his feet.  He goes to the fridge as if attracted to it, just like his cheap Arizona Cardinals helmet novelty magnet firmly secured to its off-white façade.

'King of beer, indeed,' he mumbles softly to himself as he presses the pull tab firmly into his Bud Light.

Eschewing his former domain of the computer chair, he takes up his new kingdom of the old leather recliner in the living room, turning on the TV.  Much to his displeasure the old television doesn't bring him much joy, at this hour and with Arizona's dislike for daylight savings time, he's stuck with mostly mind-numbing news programmes or even more harmful game shows.  After about fifteen minutes of his banal channel surfing routine, not staying on a single channel for more than forty seconds, his ears perceives the sound of a muffled cell phone vibrations.  He knows who it is, it's the same person as every other day:  His girlfriend. 

Nevertheless, the excitement that courses through his veins as he reads her text message consisting of, 'Sup?', is palpable as the beating of his heart grows faster and faster.    He knows his after work doldrums are over as he puts on his latest $100 pair of shoes back onto those ragged feet, fires up his trusty Dodge Ram 2500 and drives to see the woman of his life with a telling smile on his face.
