the ps4 somehow went from being a $300 bloodborne (and, eventually, uncharted 4) machine to suddenly being the definitive gaming platform of the 8th gen within the span of the last month

nier, nioh, horizon, gravity rush 2, all within the first quarter of 2017 with more to come

in fact, 2017 in general is looking great for all but the xbox one when you consider breath of the wild and mario odyssey
