In 2011 the progress became super slow. There were lots of technical issues. The game was not performing at speed. The video we showed, the trailer on PS3, was specced up. The game was running at a much lower frame rate. Some features were still missing. It was clear that the team had to make a compromise in terms of features.

i mean in retrospect it's amazing we were ever gullible enough to believe this was going to run on ps3, but to just nonchalantly admit that the original video was completely fabricated, lol

yes, and even ico was originally designed as a ps1 game that turned out to be overly ambitious and had to be ported over to the ps2

i like to look at shadow of the colossus and it's 15 fps most of the time

anyway now that we have TWO WHOLE gameplay videos, was anybody else hoping to see a healthy mix of elements from both ico and sotc and not simply a modernized ico with a dogbirdrat yorda

i mean the fact that the creature is massive and climbable is the only sotc influence i've even seen here thus far, i'm really hoping  it goes deeper than that (because tbh as much as i like ico i think sotc is a far better game, i would prefer an sotc with ico puzzle/platforming embellishments than an ico with sotc embellishments)

not that it matters at all, sony would be insane to do anything with team ico other than completely disband it after the astronomical waste of time and money that was the last seven years of its existence

I dont think it was a HUGE seller, but I think it did at least become a greatest hits game

Still just a typical 3D puzzle platformer. I wanted more from this game.

my main gripe is that when sony first revealed this game, they suggested that it would be incorporating elements from both ico and shadow of the colossus

but ten years later and it still just looks like ico 2.0, the legacy of sotc remains virtually imperceptible

i mean sure you're able to mount a large animal but that in and of itself isn't unique in the slightest

as great as ico is, i think sotc is the vastly superior game, so i'm very disappointed to see that gameplay-wise tlg is just another team ico-style puzzle platformer and barely resembles sotc at all

i hope i'm wrong but none of the promo material thus far suggests otherwise
