honestly if i turn out to like vii i'll probably end up playing vi and ix and x anyway lol

at the very least, liking vii should make you want to play ix, since it's the same generation of final fantasy games and uses the same battle system

vi uses the same battle system too but is of course a snes game

x is entirely, absolutely, completely turn-based with no atb system, but is otherwise pretty similar.
