what specific part are you having trouble with? if it's the room with all the enemies around the big fire, you can use the pebble item to draw fewer enemies' attention

yeah that part gave me trouble but i'm able to get past it now, but i still haven't beat the first boss. i forgot the name of the weapon i think it was the saw, and the blunderbuss

just beat cleric beast on i think third try, now i'm loving this game. i stumbled upon father gascoigne unexpectedly and actually got him about halfway down before he killed me, too

don't know why i rage quit after my first try on this guy, he was fucking easy as sin, but i also spent 3 hours grinding and regaining my bearings the other night so i might just be way too overleveled now but whatever WISH ME LUCK SQUAD i got to the nightmare place last night and found a room full of spiders and decided it was time for bed

i mean to be fair you can't really be truly overleveled for a boss, any boss can still annihilate you in a few hits. so i think it's more that you just figured out how to fight him, and for the record he's pretty easy to most people (compared to other bosses at least i guess)
