sure, leap to an altitude so high that it breaks the camera targeting and leaves me completely disoriented and hopelessly vulnerable to a devastating divebomb, immediately repeat before i even have the chance to get my sorry ass off the ground

sure, summon a ubiquitous lightning strike/wave that's virtually guaranteed to be fatal unless i'm at the outermost margins of the giant stage, then leap at me while i attempt my futile evasion

and then every other attack does at minimum a full blood vial's worth of damage

it took me probably well over 30 attempts to finally kill the festering piece of shite[/spoiler]

the shield you find can negate the lightning's damage by like 90%, as opposed to having to dodge through it which can be tricky since it moves so slow.

but yeah it's a really tough fight, i would say arguably the hardest boss in the whole souls franchise

but it's also fucking great

i don't think nyerp is saying he's necessarily harder than kos, just frustrating and awful. for cheap reasons such as the lava filling the room. at least i hope he's not saying he's harder than kos, because kos is definitely harder.

i didn't like the laurence fight. "bring back an old boss but on fire" boss design strikes again.  it was just a pain.

personally i didn't do them all so there's like two bosses i've never fought but i don't really feel bad because chalice dungeons are lame and queen yharnam netted me the platinum so
