can someone please tell me any good albums that were recorded in analog and not digitally processed post-production so i can buy vinyl for its true purpose and not for its ornamental value :x

Samus Aran

Can we please not derail threads

squirrelfriend

this is an acceptable answer
not what i was calling against at all
edm on vinyl is what i'm against

C.Mongler

they were all literally answers to your asinine passive aggressive question that you could have answered yourself by a reddit search, which i'm sure you already did before even asking it lol

anyway can we get this back on topic now, thx papa kaz

squirrelfriend

oh i have that lol. yeah it's pretty cool, but it's like 95% a collectors item. not to say that it sounds bad or anything, but it's 16-bit era music on wax lol there's only so good that can sound, and it's expensive as a mother fucker for what it is. packaging is SuPeR nIcEeE and will bring tingly feelings of nostalgia. i warn you though, the songs on here are STRAIGHT UP; what i mean by that is they dont loop them like you hear them in the game, so you get ONE playthrough and most of the LP 1 songs are on average about a minute in length. so i found myself being like AW YEAH I REMEMBER THIS ONE and then it's like 'hey i'm over now btw' and on to the next one. not that i expected them to loop them i guess, but it makes it hard to just throw on for listening pleasure when every song comes and goes right when you start gettin' that nostalgia high. it's just a weird way to try and enjoy the game's music imo

i don't regret getting it though, it's a deff cool thing to own if you're a fan of the game for sure, but just my TWO CENTS

damn i was actually like set on buying it and this makes me not want to
i was visualizing (well, that but for listening) putting it on while chillin' and hearing the songs as they are in the game. feel like loops would almost be necessary for that... who knows though maybe it'd still be worth it for when someone is looking through my records and they have played earthbound and they can be like woah (jk that'll never happen all my friends have shit taste in vidya)

yeah, for actually listening to it, it's not the best since the clips are all like a minute long.

i'm pretty sure that playlist is what's on the soundtrack if u are curious to preview the experience

Samus Aran

that's a lot of money to spend on a game soundtrack, even if it is one of my favorite games

then again, it wouldn't be my first game ost on vinyl, as i also have the persona 4 arena one that has arranged tracks on it

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

ive since bought more vinyl ha

i got a meredith monk lp, Francoise hardy, and an lp of Gamelan musi
