hard to say...

now with so many tvs being "smart" tvs, and so many products supporting streaming abilities, i really hope we see pc games being easily streamed on tvs (or played on tvs?). it is so redundant to have consoles when pcs do the exact same things but the industry seems to like them so i don't see them going anywhere for a while

it is also hard to say w/ handhelds. i can see a couple more generations of nintendo handhelds at least, but in the long term i think that mobile gaming and handheld gaming will merge, which doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing (nintendo games using mobile networks instead of using horrible nintendo online services pls pls)

also if something like the oculus rift comes out and retails for $50-$100 and doesn't look so damn nerdy i can see more virtual reality stuff catching on
