I play games before they come out too.

Kalahari Inkantation

i'm sure it's "fun" on some level

i'm not sure it's $60 worth of "fun"

i'd like to say i'll pick it up when it hits $20 but alas, it's a nintendo game

also, can you imagine what this would have been like if they had stuck to their original 2015 launch date, lol

my low 70s forecast would have actually turned out to be a gross overestimate

seriously.

what's even more disappointing about this, is that Platinum made it.

Platinum made it, and Nintendo killed it

C.Mongler

i mean they made it to nintendo's specifications with nintendo, i.e. there's your problem they should have given them near full control probably lol

loololol yet that 'platinum feel' wasn't achieved because of nintendo's input on the game also lol at the comments

QuoteGood for the game, good for my 2015 bank account. Win-win.

>being so poor/buying so many games one more will bankrupt you

squirrelfriend

nintendo should sell itself to the highest bidder so they get more competent management

C.Mongler

OK SO I BOUGHT THIS SHIT LAST WEEK AND FINALLY PLAYED SOME LAST NIGHT

and

UGHHHUUHHHHH. like it's pretty fun. or it could be pretty fun. but the fucking controls man they are just as horse's ass as everyone says. like have you ever thought "hmm i really wish i could control the steering of the ship independently from the laser aiming reticle!" then maybe you'll like this shit cuz that's what it is. like i appreciate they tried a new thing and like i could see myself getting used to it eventually, but i hit a brick wall of frustration on the first damn level because now they've introduced TEENY TINY weakpoints on half the enemies that you have to do precision cock-pit aiming on the gamepad to hit, so you're constantly switching your gaze between the regular star fox view on the tv and the tiny cock-pit view on your gamepad. it's honestly kind of nauseating to play for more than like 30 minutes, so i haven't yet lol

like it seems like if they gave you a wider range of motion with the pro controller as an option, it'd be PERFECTLY FUCKING FINE but instead they make you play the game like this and just why

RIP starfox, another victim of nintendo's gimmicks

Kalahari Inkantation

i feel the need to mention that miyamoto has now ruined star fox on three separate occasions

-shelved star fox 2, a completely finished technical marvel of a game and an ideal sequel to the original, so as not to undermine the awe of the imminent n64's 3d graphics (and as if that logic wasn't idiotic enough in its own right, the n64 then went on to be delayed for a year anyway)

-poisoned dinosaur planet with star fox assets despite them being completely unrelated games except in the most utterly superficial of ways imaginable, a decision that both aborted the dinosaur planet ip and permanently disfigured star fox's plot, gameplay, and reputation

-crippled star fox zero, which could have very well been a perfectly average-at-best throwback sequel to a has-been series, by shoehorning counter-intuitive motion-gyro-second screen controls into it in a futile attempt to finally make the case for his long-failed wii u experiment

paper mario fans take note: it never gets any better

don't let's

Who's at fault for the touch controls in Command?

Kalahari Inkantation

i think command was developed by a third party studio

though tbh i didn't hate command's touch controls so much as i hated everything else about it
