well, i'm gonna assume that whatever official female link comes to the mainline zelda games, will be canonically Linkle.

But I also assume they won't give her the personality they gave her in Hyrule Warriors.
I do like the character of Linkle though, but I just wanna say that Linkle in this new one would be the silent avatar like Link always is.

basically, she's not really as simple as "female link." She thinks that she is the legendary hero because her grandma said she was. She has a family heirloom compass, and her quirk is that she has no sense of direction. The entire time she's trying to get to Hyrule Castle, but keeps going the wrong way.

The main thing that makes her not just a female link, is that she talks.
