Moto G 2013 is still worth considering.

Second generation changed basically nothing but the screen size, with all other specs being the same:
CPU: Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz x4
GPU: Adreno 305
RAM: 1GB
Battery: 2070mAh (which doesn't last as long on gen2)
Screen Resolution: 1280x720 (which means lower PPI on gen2)
LTE: Not in either base model (only gen1 has an LTE model)
Storage: 8GB ($180 models) or 16GB ($200 models)
microSD: Yes (except non-LTE Gen1 models)
If you want a bigger phone, get Gen2.
If you want a more average-size phone, get Gen1.
If you want SD slot, get either Gen1 LTE or Gen2.
If you want LTE, get Gen1 LTE.
If you want better battery life, get Gen1.
If you want better deals, get Gen1; although MSRP is the same, its age means more discounts

Overall, I like Gen1 better, but it mostly comes down to a preference of size. They're both a great price for a good phone as long as you don't have high-performance needs like 3D games.

everywhere i'm looking the first gen is more expensive than the second gen lol  :(

i own gen 2 and i love it

i researched all the models and yeah everything blu said is spot on. i like the 5 inch screen a lot, and i even sold my nexus 7 because the 5inch moto g was the perfect size. at first it was a little awkward to hold in one hand but i'm used to it now and i don't mind

yeah lte would be nice but i don't really mind just using 3g. i have access to wifi everywhere that i go, and it's not like i need faster data when i am not on wifi since i am usually trying to conserve data anyway

so yeah really depends on if you like the bigger screen size
i am sure an lte edition will release in a few months though
