It was over a one-sided romance with a girl he knew. What's so tragic is that he was only 19 and that I had once contemplated suicide in a similar situation.

i don't think he had a lot of friends in the service if at all so i don't think he had anyone to bounce off ideas and consider rationality.

i wrote this post when i was in a state of shock, and still haven't quite come to terms with it, so it came out admittedly quite callously. Like I didn't react to the event itself, but rather at my lack of emotion.
