lol no, steam sales have been consistently bad since they pulled daily deals and have only gotten worse. like it's not even a "oh cmongler you have EVERYTHING no wonder u dont think the deals are good" NO SHUTUP. i have a wishlist of like 200 things and scrolling through that there's not even 1 tempting deal or one that i haven't seen elsewhere for cheaper.

unless there's something you REALLY want that you've just been waiting for a nice little price decrease to grab, there's honestly nothing worth losin' ya shit over

also i never really fully understood why refunds got in the way of flash sales to begin with tho. like do they just not want to deal with the influx of refunds from idiots who buy shit day one who refund to get it again cheaper on flash sale? isn't an an automated process tho, so like who cares? banks maybe? i dunno lol i've only refunded something like one time

i'd have to imagine the new method isn't relatively nearly as profitable tho; people are way more likely to impulse buy shit when they think they have to make a quick, now-or-never decision than they are when you say "okay here's what we're offerin', you have the next two weeks to think on it".
