have you people only ever walked into a walmart and looked at the wii selection and said "WOW SURE IS A LOT OF GARBAGE" and then left it at that?
the wii was my main console from 2006-2010 and I think I have ~20 games for it so no, not really
tell me what amazing games the wii had. I even looked at multiple "best wii games of all time" lists and half of the games listed were trash. just because it had a large library and a few good games doesn't mean it had a large library of good games. I only have like 6 Wii U games and I enjoyed all of those games much more on average than I did the games on my Wii, not to mention there are a lot of Wii U games I still want.

then you should have bought better wii games i dont know what to tell you lol.

i made my list a few pages back, you can check it out. hell i agree mostly with the nintendo power list below too, though their rankings are weird (MadWorld is the best platinum game ever made for example), and some of the games are complete shit (Other M, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and Mario Kart Wii, I'm lookin' at you). i'd love to hear what's trash about 50% of this list otherwise unless you'd like to just leave your hyperbole at that lol

QuoteIn the June 2012 issue (#279) of Nintendo Power, one of the featured stories was called "Wii Essentials", which listed the top 30 Wii retail games available (plus some download games).  I thought it was a pretty good overview of all the great games the Wii has to offer, although I disagree with a few of the choices.  Most importantly, Resident Evil 4: Wii edition is a huge omission.  I would've also liked to see Boom Blox Bash Party, Monster Hunter Tri, and Okami up there.  Here's the Nintendo Power list:

The Must-Haves
Donkey Kong Country Returns
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Little King's Story
Mario Kart Wii
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Rayman Origins
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Xenoblade Chronicles

The Should-Haves
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Dead Space: Extraction
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
Klonoa
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
No More Heroes 2
Punch-Out!!
Sonic Colors
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

The Nice-To-Haves
Disney's Epic Mickey
GoldenEye 007
The House of the Dead: Overkill
Kirby's Epic Yarn
MadWorld
Metroid: Other M
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

lol ^

but really i at least posted a paragraph about why i don't care for think banjo tooie and DK64 are as good as they should have been/remembered for, could i at least get the same respect and specifics about why literally every wii game is mediocre lol besides "no, all trash!!!"

made an edit cuz i think throughout my speeches i've given the impression i think those games are 0/10 hot garbage, when really i think they are mediocre 5-6/10 tier that don't really deserve to have the legacy that they seem to have, especially when compared to Rare's golden child 3D platformer Banjo Kazoozoo

TooB

A boy and his blob is solid on wii.

Hell of a lot better than the nes game

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

Addressing that list:
Donkey Kong Country Returns - yes
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - yes
Little King's Story - looked interesting but never played
Mario Kart Wii - absolutely not, shit game
Metroid Prime Trilogy - yes
Rayman Origins - better on literally any other platform
Super Mario Galaxy - yes
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - worth owning if you have a wii but still the weakest smash
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - looked interesting
Xenoblade Chronicles - sure

Bully: Scholarship Edition - better on other platforms
Dead Space: Extraction - no
Kirby's Return to Dream Land - yes
Klonoa - i guess?
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - okay
No More Heroes 2 - fine
Punch-Out!! - fine
Sonic Colors - sure
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - absolutely
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure - good but not great

Disney's Epic Mickey - eh
GoldenEye 007 - nah
The House of the Dead: Overkill - maybe
Kirby's Epic Yarn - yes
MadWorld - i guess
Metroid: Other M - eh
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - eh
Rhythm Heaven Fever - sure
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - nah
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor - yes
that's a much better list than the ones I looked at for sure, so I will give you that the Wii probably has more "good" games than the Wii U, but the Wii U has more great games.
I'll compare games I'd find worth having on the Wii to the Wii U:
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Little King's Story
MadWorld
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
No More Heroes
No More Heroes 2
Punch-Out!!
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor
Sonic Colors
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Paper Mario
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Xenoblade Chronicles
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

Bayonetta 2
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Hyrule Warriors
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Mario Kart 8
Paper Mario Color Splash
Pikmin 3
Rayman Legends
Splatoon
Super Mario 3D World
Super Mario Maker
Super Smash Bros 4
Tokyo Mirage Sessions
Wonderful 101
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Wooly World
So that's 22 games on the Wii and 18 on the Wii U, but this is excluding ports on both platforms, of which I think the Wii U has better ports (WWHD, Arkham City, Deus Ex, Mass Effect 3, etc).
Here's my top 5 for each platform:

Wii:
Donkey Kong Country Returns
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Wii U:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Mario Kart 8
Splatoon
Super Mario 3D World
Super Smash Bros 4

When narrowing these down, I had a much harder time bringing the Wii U list down. For the Wii, I only had 4 and just tacked Brawl onto it because while it's not great, I got a lot of playtime out of it.

YPrrrr

Controversial opinion: I liked Brawl more than Smash 4

-not sure wtf i was thinking in ranking the 3ds that highly
-added wii u

Damn I dunno how you rank the GBA last amongst the handhelds but I wouldn't say any of the handhelds were bad so ig it's open to interpretation

SNES > DS = GBA = Gamceube > 3DS > NES = N64 > Wii U > Wii > GB/GBC

PS2 > SNES > DS = GBA = Gamceube > PS3 > 3DS = PS1 > NES = N64 > 360 > Dreamcast = Xbox > Wii U > Wii > Genesis > PSP > PS4 > GB/GBC > XB1 > Vita > 2600 > Intellivision
